At the Centre for Foreign Languages and Cultures (CFLC), housed within the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, we offer an enriching tapestry of linguistic and cultural education spanning seven languages: French, Spanish, German, Korean, Japanese, as well as the classical languages of Latin and Greek. Our language instructors, hailing from across the globe, bring a wealth of teaching expertise in their respective languages, complemented by our liberal arts faculty who boast degrees from prestigious institutions such as Harvard, Stanford, Yale, Cornell, and Peking University. We employ an interactive, small-group teaching approach to ensure active student engagement. Our students not only learn the languages of diverse civilizations but also delve deep into the intricacies of world cultures through various cultural and general education courses, adding an international perspective to their life’s journey.
